2009: 

THANKS to everyone for a GREAT YEAR!! The YMRR has added several new members, had several outstanding public displays, done a lot of great work and built some lasting friendships. While there are no further public events scheduled for the rest of 2009, we look forward to a running start in 2010, so check back with us or send us an email and we will add you to our email event list!

2010 YMRR DISPLAY DATES:

February 6- Saturday 

at the Yuma Doll & Toy Show,

Yuma Civic and Convention Center

10 AM to 4 PM

March 30 to April 4: Yuma County Fair in the Theatre building.

2010

January:

     Special guest speaker following regular business meeting.

YMRR Meeting- brief meeting then work shop-

Topic: Basic track work. we will be doing a live demonstration  including some discussion and debate as to pro's and con's of differing styles, the different types of track, rail, what those funny 'codes' mean, the difference between brass, steel and nickel silver and what it means to us, differences on roadbed, different ways how to attach track to your roadbed, soldering sections together and basic wiring. We'll also cover turnouts, their number system and basic installation.

1:30 Guest Speaker, Carol from the Yuma Historical Society will be talking with us about the history of railroads in Yuma. location YMRR Room at the QMD.
