YMRR
The Yuma Model Railroaders are an active group in Southwest Arizona. Our interests range from full-size railroads to model railroads of all scales. We welcome new members; whether you are a full time resident or winter visitor.
Currently we have an operating HO scale modular layout that is displayed at the Yuma County Fair week and several other events throughout the year. See our "Coming Events" page for future dates.
All members of the modular group are NMRA members and the YMRR Modular Club Division is a 100% NMRA Club. We are also an Ambassador group for the World's Greatest Hobby.
We have been granted non-profit status through the State of Arizona and are now working on our application for Federal non-profit status.
Meetings are held about once a month; round-robin style on varying days and times. With our recent approval of a site to locate our club at we will be having a majority of meetings held there at the Yuma QM Depot but may on occasion have them elsewhere. We have work sessions on a variety of topics such as tree-making, rolling stock tuneups and scenery construction just to name a few. Check out our events calendar page for more information of upcoming dates or email us to be added on our email notification mailing.
Railfanning ( going out trackside to watch the 'big trains' run) are taken out along the very active SP/UP Sunset Route for train watching and searching for historical remnants of rail lines in addtion to some out of town trips to other locations.
Membership in the yahoo mail group is restricted due to spam mail, but those interested are welcome to request. We look forward to hearing from you! Check out our group postings page on Yahoo groups at YumaModelRailroaders.

Yuma Model Railroaders move into new home!!
The YMRR has been granted a location at the Yuma Quartermasters Depot, 201 N. 4th Avenue in Yuma, to meet and now display some of their modular layout on a long term basis. This is in preparation for a future move into a permanent site that is being planned for and developed some time in the near future.
Room work was completed during this week and on Saturday May 1st, we set a portion of our modules into place and have them running. At this time we have 10 modules, of the 33 operational and available, displayed and operational. We will continue to plan for more modules, rotate those on site out with others as they becoem available and continue to plan for future sections to build for our eventual move into the new permanent site being developed.
Watch the Coming Events page for dates that we will be open to the public for viewing while trains are running. In the meantime you can see the display anytime the park is open through the large windows in the room located on the east end of the building known as the 'Corral House".
